Snubby Sub-Four
Introduction: Can you prevail against 2 bad guys when only armed with a snub? A study which examined video footage taken of robberies where there was an armed response paints a very sobering picture. These events unfolded in package good stores, bodega, gas stations etc. and roughly half the time, there was more than evil doer. What if you had no alternative but to take action in order to save your life?
Objective: The shooter must demonstrate a command of practical accuracy when firing under time duress.
Ammunition Requirement: 5 Rounds
Targets: Any paper or cardboard silhouette with a realistic size high value scoring area may be used,
Distance: T1 @ 4 yards, T2 @ 7 yards. Lateral spread between the targets is 6 feet.
Begin Exercise: Load with 5 rounds and holster. This drill will be fired with the revolver concealed from view. On the signal, draw and fire 3 rounds to T1 and 2 rounds to T2. End of exercise.
Scoring: This drill is for self-evaluation purposes. A half-second penalty will be awarded for hits on target but outside the high value area. Can you get it done in 4 seconds or less with all good hits? If so, go to the head of the class.
