A Drill for Pocket Pistols & Snub Revolvers

Objective: The shooter must demonstrate the ability to make decisive hits on two threats in a compressed time frame. Reloading and the ability to correctly use cover will also be assessed.

Targets: Any target with a realistic size high value scoring area may be used.

Distance: T1@ 7 yards, T2@ 5 yards.

Ammunition Required: 8 rounds

Range Prop: High cover 4 yards forward of T2

Begin Exercise: The shooter will load with 6 rounds and have at least 2 more rounds on the belt for a reload. This drill will be fired with the handgun concealed from view. On the signal, draw & fire 2 body shots to T1, 2 body shots to T2, I head shot to T2 and 1 head shot to T1. MOVE to Cover, RELOAD and fire 1 head shot each to T1 and T2 (any sequence). Shot breakdown for 5 shot guns is 2 body shots, 1 body shot, I head shot, I head shot RELOAD and 1 head shot, 1 head shot

Scoring: Pistol, 12 seconds or less=superior, 20 seconds or less= adequate

Revolver, 18 seconds or less= superior, 25 seconds or less= adequate

One second penalty for each hit outside high value area, miss or poor

cover= DQ
