Targets: plate rack (w/ six 8 inch falling plates) and one Hi-Power Silhouette. Silhouette target is placed 2 yards forward of the rack, centered on plates 3 & 4.
Procedure: The shooter is positioned directly behind high cover which is set 10 yards from the rack. A fully loaded handgun is in the holster with at least one reload on the belt. On signal, move to cover, draw and fire one hit on the silhouette. Engage any number of plates, in any sequence. Shooter may not extend beyond the fault lines of cover. Shooter must perform a speed reload at some before hitting the silhouette a second time to stop time.
Scoring: This is test of speed and accuracy and it can be accomplished with 8 shots (the name “eight track” is no coincidence!). Two seconds will be added to your total time for each missed shot. A five second penalty will be incurred for each shot taken from poor cover or for each plate is left standing. Low time wins.
