Objective: The shooter must demonstrate the ability to fire an accurate shot in a compressed time frame without hitting the “friendly” in close proximity to the threat.
Targets: Rifle grade steel steel silhouette (T1) and balloon (T2). No shoot (NS1) can be paper, cardboard or steel.
Range props: One piece of high cover
Ammunition Needed: 2 rounds
Begin Exercise: Shooter positioned behind cover 25 yards from T1, rifle at port arms with an empty chamber and safety engaged. On the signal, chamber a round, disengage the safety and make one hit on T1, pivot and break the balloon (T2) to stop time.
Scoring: A successful run consists of a hit on T1 in 3 seconds or less and a hit on T2 in 4 seconds or less. Hit on no-shoot=DQ
