Objective: The shooter must demonstrate the ability to make surgical hits in a compressed time frame.
Ammunition Needed: Six rounds. Four will be loaded into the pistol and a magazine containing at least two rounds will be on the belt.
Targets: Negative IPSC target with the A Zone cut away (T1) and a 10 inch round steel plate (T2).
Distance: T1 will be placed 5 yards directly in front of the shooter and T2 will be slightly offset and placed 10 yards distant.
Begin Exercise: The shooter will begin in Shoot Box A, directly in front of T1. The holstered pistol will contain 4 rounds only. On the signal, draw and fire 4 rounds into T1 , RELOAD and fire 2 rounds on T2.
Scoring: If you can get this done in 6 seconds or less with all hits, go to the head of the class. Revolver shooters will be allotted 9 seconds for a superior performance. Your score equals time plus penalties. Outside the A zone= 1 second penalty. One miss on the plate= 2 second penalty. Two misses on the plate- No Go.
