Objective: The shooter must balance speed and practical accuracy when firing the combat shotgun on multiple targets. A smooth, safe transition to the handgun will also be considered.
Targets: 3 cardboard negative IPSC, T1-T3 (or similar). Targets spaced 4 feet apart.
Distance: 5-10 yards
Ammunition Needed: 5/6 rounds of buckshot, 3 rounds of pistol.
Begin Exercise: The shooter will combat load 5 or 6 rounds of buckshot (depending on capacity) and come to a muzzle depressed position. On the signal, fire one round to T1, one round to T2, two rounds to T3, one round to T2 and one round to T1. Place the SAFETY ON, TRANSITION to pistol. One head shot each to T1-T3. End of exercise.
Five Round Guns: shot sequence is, 1,1,2,1, TRANSITION, body shot on T1, 3 head shots.
Scoring: Low time wins (Paladin Scoring). Penalties, wrong sequence on the targets or fail to manipulate the safety, 5 seconds added. Three seconds will be added for each missed head shot.
