Small bookkeeping item.
We send every new member and renewal Snub Noir member, in additional to his new member welcome letter, and invitation to add is shooting score to our seventeen round EZ Qualifier, his Snub Noir message decoder.
Currently, the de-coder is offered in stiff paper but we are currently working on getting future de-coders in plastic and the wheels joined via a grommet.
Additionally, as soon as the new 5-1/2-inch by 3-3/4-inch founding member patches arrive, will will start including a patch in with each mailing.
As a small, personal touch, I like to sign every new member welcome letter with a fountain pen. I doubt that anyone other than myself would ever notice, but it turned out, I was *almost* right.
One of our eagle eyed members took note and suggested that we weren’t sending out “authentic” membership and de-coder letters because, unlike the membership letter in A Christmas Story, I was countersigning (I wasn’t) in … (insert dramatic music effect) … black ink!
And, apparently, everyone except myself knows, that Ralphie’s letter was countersigned by Mr. Pierre Andre …in BLUE ink!
Well I’m nothing if not a stickler for authenticity.
So from here on out, all new member and renewal letters will go out in BLUE ink via my fountain pen. So I hope you’ll all be happier.
And by-the-way … just for the record, Ralphie’s letter from Mr. Andre was countersigned … in BLACK ink.
But who am I to argue with anyone’s Mandela Effect.  ; – )
Yours, (in ink)
Michael “Pierre” de Bethencourt
P.S. And always be sure to drink you Ovaltine!
