Objective: This self-assessment drill is designed to measure practical marksmanship potential when firing a snub revolver.
Target: Any humanoid target with realistic size high value scoring area (IPSC, IDPA, etc.) may be used. Paper plates or anatomy overlays may be used to create the high value area.
Round Count: 10
Phase One @ 5 yards- Quick Draw- Draw from concealment and fire 2 shots in 2.5 seconds.
Phase Two @ 5yards- Failure to Stop- Draw from concealment and fire 2 body shots and 1 head shot in 3.5 seconds.
Phase Three @ 5 yards- Strong Hand Only- Draw from concealment and fire 2 shots 2.5 seconds.
Phase Four @ 5 yards- Weak Hand Only- From the ready position, 2 shots in 2.5 seconds.
Phase Five @ 5yards- Reload- From the ready position, fire 1 shot, RELOAD and fire 2 shots in 9 seconds.
Phase Six @ 10 yards- Distance & Cover- Shooter positioned 6 feet to the left or right of cover with the gun in the ready position. On the signal, fire 1 shot, MOVE to cover and fire 2 shots in 7 seconds.
Scoring: Hits in the high value area will score 10 points. Two points will be awarded for hits on target, but outside the high value area. Shots beyond the par time will incur a 5 point penalty.
