Objective: The shooter must apply the principles of practical marksmanship in a compressed time frame. The use of cover will also be evaluated.Â
Distance: 10 yardsÂ
Targets: Two 8X12 inch knockdown plates (T1 & T3) and one steel silhouette (T2)Â
Ammunition Needed: 5 rounds minimumÂ
Range Prop: High cover 2 steps forward of the shooter.Â
Begin Exercise: Shooter positioned slightly to the rear of cover with a fully loaded handgun in the holster. On the signal, move to cover and make 1 hit on T1, 3 hits on T2 and 1 hit on T3. Shooter must engage each target from a different point of cover with at least one target engaged from the shooter’s support side.Â
Scoring: Low time wins! (Paladin Scoring)- A two second penalty will be incurred for each miss. A five second penalty will be awarded for poor cover. Procedural error=DQÂ
