Distance: 8 yards
Ammunition Requirement: 5 rounds only loaded into the gun. Three more rounds ready to go in a second magazine or a fully loaded speedloader.
Begin Exercise: Handgun contained in a secure holster under a covering garment. On the signal, draw and fire 5 shots into T1. Move right to high cover and reload. Fire 2 shots to the body and 1 shot to the head of T2. End of exercise.
Scoring: If you can get it done in 8 seconds or less with all hits in the high value area, go the head of the class. A 10 second run with a snub revolver would likewise, be excellent. For self-evaluation purposes only! How do those hits look? Is your performance with that hideout gun close to that of your primary piece? A point or two down or a second or so slower probably isn’t a big deal. But if your performance is a train wreck, do really comfortable betting your life on that mouse gun?
