Objective: The shooter must display a command of practical marksmanship in a close range, dual threat scenario.
Targets: Any humanoid target with a realistic size, high value scoring area may be utilized. T1 will be set 5 yards away, directly in front of the shooter. T2 will be positioned to the left at 6 yards. Lateral spread between the targets will be about 3 feet.
Rounds Needed: 6
Begin Exercise: A handgun loaded with at least 6 rounds will be contained in a secure holster. On the signal, draw and fire one body shot to T1, two body shots to T2, one body shot to T1, one head shot to T2 and one head shot to T1. End of exercise.
Scoring: Low time wins! (Paladin Scoring). A good shooter running a service size pistol should be able to run the drill in under 5 seconds. Sub-Compact, micro and pocket pistols will find this a little more challenging. It is also a very good test for a snub revolver. Hits on the target but outside the high value area will incur a 1 second penalty. Missed shots (including the head) will result in a no-go.
Variation: For 5 shot snubs, one body to T1, two body to T2, one head to T1 and one head to T2.
