I have suggested for decades that nothing I advocate in the snub training classes is and/or should be of any value until the students has personally tested the recommendation. Testing and determining the different ratio of rounds vs time to load (3 vs 4 vs 5) rounds into your J-frame is a single example. If you can load 3 rounds in “X” seconds but requite 2x or 3x more seconds to fill a 5-round cylinder, it is left to the shooter to decide whether it is worth more that twice the reloading time to add in only an additional 40% more rounds. Now I would argue knowing these numbers gives the shooter some value information, and the correct answer will vary with the nature of the assault the shooter would be facing. But personally testing the advice is always paramount.
