Wanted to see the difference between the Beretta 21A and the much maligned Taurus PT-22. Both are very similar, with a number of design differences. And standard velocity ammo. Magazines- Both are 7 round, but will not interchange due to magazine release locations. Loading- Both have a tip-up feature as trying to rack the slide “ain’t gonna happen!”. Shooting- here’s where they differ! Ammunition: Federal Standard Velocity 40gr Beretta 21A- After the second shot, the slide jammed backwards and I can’t get it to move. (Into the gunbag it went) Taurus PT-22- Ate everything without a problem. Until it got a little bit dirty- than a spritz of Ballistol & it’s good to go! Accuracy at 5 yards was very acceptable. – Doc MacKinnon
