I used my Savage 99 lever action. A real noir guy or girl would utilize a Remington Model 8 (like Frank Hamer) or a Winchester 07! – Mike Boyle
Objective: To provide the shooter a means of measuring practical accuracy with any centerfire rifle.
Target: Can vary according to the shooter’s goals. Are we shooting magnifying optics, irons or a red dot?  Examples could include the A-zone of an IPSC target, B8 Center, paper plate or an index card.
Phase 1, 100 yards- a) 4 shots PRONE, slow fire
- b) 3 shots PRONE, timed fire (20 seconds)
- c) 3 shots SITTING, rapid fire (10 seconds)
Phase 2, 50 yards- a) 3 shots STANDING, 4 seconds
- b) 3 shots, SHOOTER’S CHOICE, 4 seconds
Phase 3, 25 yards- 2 pairs from STANDING, 2X, 4 seconds
