Course Objective: The shooter must demonstrate the ability to make combat effective hits on multiple targets with the shotgun. The ability to quickly reload will also be evaluated.
Ammunition Needed: 8 rounds of buckshot
Range Prop: High Cover
Targets: Three negative IPSC Targets with the A-zone cutaway (T1-T3) one steel head plate (H1). Targets set 1 yard apart.
Distance: 10 yards
Begin Exercise: Combat load with 5 rounds and come to a muzzle depressed position. On the signal, fire 2 rounds to T1, 2 rounds to T2 and 1 round to knock down H1. MOVE to cover, Reload with 3 rounds and fire 1 round to T1, 1round to T2 and 1 round to T3. No more than 1 shot from the same point of cover!
Scoring: All hits under 12 seconds will be considered superior. For an acceptable performance, the shooter must complete the drill in 20 seconds or less. If the shooter fails to knockdown the head plate, they must transition to the pistol after expending all the shotgun rounds.
